Museum Night AR Demo
Interactive AR experience for museums—animated artworks, 3D sculptures, and talking masterpieces
The Concept
What if the Mona Lisa could speak? What if a Renaissance painting could animate before your eyes? For Paris Museum Night, we explored how augmented reality could transform the museum experience—making art accessible, engaging, and unforgettable.
The Experience
Visitors point their smartphones at classic artworks and watch them transform:
Animated Paintings — Static masterpieces come alive with subtle movement. Wind blows through landscapes, figures shift their gaze, water ripples.
3D Sculptures — Flat paintings reveal their depth. Characters step out of their frames, objects rotate to show hidden details.
Interactive Dialogues — The Mona Lisa answers your questions. Historical figures explain their stories in their own voices.
Technical Innovation
The system uses markerless image recognition combined with AI-generated animations and voice synthesis. No QR codes disrupt the artwork’s integrity. The experience runs entirely in-browser—no app download creates friction for museum visitors.
Why Museums Need This
Young audiences expect interactivity. Traditional audio guides feel outdated. AR transforms passive viewing into active discovery, increasing dwell time and emotional connection with the collection.
This demo showcases the technology’s potential for cultural institutions, private galleries, and temporary exhibitions.
